* Pestilence is the first Disaster Cat to ever manifest. It marked the beginning of the wave of Disaster Cats to balance Shmlebby's Gift.
* It is not clear how Pestilence manifested, but it is thought that they had a hand in the creation of the remaining three Disaster Cats.
* While Famine is the Disaster Cat Representative, Pestilence is the "leader". This leadership does not signify a hierarchy, the Disaster Cats are primarily equal.
* Pestilence is trying to teach Death how to do their job, but it is hard because Pestilence brings Pestilence and not Death. Pestilence once brought into conversation that Death should Consider working at Shmoobazon.

* Despite Shmlebby's wishes, famine manifested and brought famine upon Shmoobleworld as a natural counterbalance to Shmlebby's attempts of forming a utopia.
* On weekends, Famine stops doing their job and instead makes music! Their stage name is "DJ Famine".

* They have a huge scythe, but they do not use it, because Death is yet to grasp the concept of itself.
